Belgard is backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal of approval, which guarantees 100% satisfaction and the seal also means all Belgard products come with a limited two-year warranty. Belgard not only offers a variety of products but also provides design plans and trends for you to choose from to help make your vision of an outdoor space become a reality. Belgard products are also sustainable and use materials that are not only environmentally friendly but also safe for our health and the health of the community. The important aspect of being a BAC is becoming a Master Craftsman, which is not easy. The Master Craftsman award was recently awarded to Promier Landscapes, by meeting a rigorous set of standards.
To become a BAC, a landscape contractor not only has to be properly certified and licensed but also guarantee their workmanship for at least two years. A BAC is also required to meet at least three of these four requirements: install 15,000 square feet (SF) of Belgard pavers, install two vehicular applications, and successfully use polymeric sand on five different projects or pavers for ten projects. Other requirements include becoming a Belgard Authorized Dealer or Sales Rep, becoming properly insured, having their work inspected, and maintaining annual requirements that are also reviewed. The annual requirements are to install 15,000 SF of Belgard Pavers, attend at least one continuing education program offered by Belgard, place the BAC logo on business cards, letterhead, or website, and submit to a yearly review by an authorized Belgard Representative. That’s not all, these are only the requirements to become a Belgard Authorized Contractor, once you’ve achieved this, the highest level of achievement at Belgard is to become a Master Craftsman.
To become a Master Craftsman, a contractor must not only meet all BAC requirements but also meet these additional stringent requirements. The BAC must be recognized as a winner of a minimum of one national award or two local awards for projects completed within the past 24 months. Also, at least one employee is required to complete the ICPI Residential Paver Technician Course. The contracting company must have a minimum of five years of install experience and be authorized in at least two of the following areas: pavers, retaining walls, Belgard elements, or Belgard Certified Applicator. A more stringent requirement is that within 12 months prior to applying for Master Craftsman status, the contractor must meet two of the following installation requirements: 20,000 SF of Belgard Pavers, 2,000 SF of Belgard Wall Product, seven projects containing at least one Belgard Element, or clean and seal 25 paver projects. The contractor must also guarantee workmanship for up to five years, must attend three educational events provided by or approved by Belgard, hold BAC status for three years prior in at least one area, and uphold a 100% service satisfaction commitment. Once Master Craftsman is awarded, the contractor must uphold strict requirements each year thereafter and is annually reviewed by Belgard.
As you can see, becoming a Belgard Master Craftsman is hard work, and requires skill, experience, and a satisfaction guarantee. Currently, there are only about 50 landscaping companies nationwide to hold the prestigious title of Master Craftsman. When deciding on a contractor to design and construct your outdoor living space, consider hiring Promier Landscapes, a Belgard Master Craftsman. With Promier Landscapes, you are guaranteed the best craftsmanship, satisfaction guarantee, and peace of mind.
